Concrete Cleaning Melbourne
Paths, patios, pool surrounds and commercial concrete stripped of years of dirt, moss and stains — cleaned evenly with rotary surface cleaners, not stripy wand work.
Concrete looks indestructible, but it's porous — it soaks up dirt, oil, tannin from leaves and organic growth until the surface is a shade of grey-black the owner assumes is permanent. It isn't. High-pressure cleaning with a rotary surface cleaner extracts what's worked into the surface and brings concrete back close to its original colour.
The rotary head matters. Cleaning concrete with a wand alone leaves overlapping stripes you can see for months; surface cleaners wash in an even, controlled pattern edge to edge. We clean plain concrete, exposed aggregate, coloured and stencilled concrete — each with pressure the finish can handle.
Moss and algae on shaded concrete isn't just ugly, it's genuinely slippery when wet — paths, steps and pool surrounds are the jobs we're most often called back for each winter. If a surface on your property has become a slip hazard, that's reason enough to book it in.

How It Works
Identify the surface & stains
Plain slab, aggregate, coloured or stencilled — plus what's on it. That sets the method and the fixed quote.
Pre-treat & machine clean
Stains get treated first, then the whole area is machine-washed evenly.
Rinse, detail, advise
Edges detailed and surrounds rinsed — and if sealing would genuinely protect your surface, we'll say so and quote it separately.
What Drives the Price
Concrete cleaning is quoted on area, surface finish (aggregate and stencilled finishes need more care than plain slab), staining and growth, and access. Combining areas in one visit — driveway, paths, patio together — is meaningfully cheaper than separate bookings.

Common Questions
Will cleaning remove all the stains from my concrete?
Most of them. General grime, moss and tannin come out well; deep-set oil and rust improve dramatically with pre-treatment but can leave a shadow. We tell you what to expect before we start.
Is high pressure safe on coloured or stencilled concrete?
Both need lower pressure than plain slab — enough to clean without lifting the colour or pattern. It's exactly why the method is matched to the finish.
Why is my shaded path so slippery, and will cleaning fix it?
Shaded concrete grows an invisible film of algae that turns slick when wet. Cleaning removes it and the slip hazard with it — treating the growth keeps it away longer.
Should I seal my concrete after cleaning?
Freshly cleaned concrete is the ideal time to seal — it locks in the result and keeps stains from re-penetrating. Worth it for driveways and high-use areas; we quote it as an option, never a requirement.
